PALERMO
Fontana: 5.5- The former Nerazzurri goalkeeper had no chance with either of Ibrahimovic’s goals, although a leaky wall could have been blamed for the Swede’s second effort.
Balzaretti: 6.0- Did nothing of significance except for picking up a yellow card in the 78th minute.
Bovo: 5.0- Will be disappointed with his performance tonight and vented his frustration by picking up a yellow card when he caught Cambiasso with a late tackle.
Carrrozzieri: 6.0- After a fairly solid first half, he had no answers to Ibrahimovic and Cruz in the second.
Cassani: 6.0- Gave possession away too easily and almost gifted Ibrahimovic a goal in the 28th minute.
Liverani: 5.0- Will be disappointed with his deliveries from set-pieces tonight.
Simplicio: 6.0- Could not contain the Inter midfield tonight and faded away after a bright opening.
Bresciano: 5.0- The Australian international was disappointing and was substituted early in the second half.
Migliaccio: 6.5- His glancing header would have opened the scoring if not for Julio Cesar’s heroics in the 11th minute.
Cavani: 6.0- Did not see too much of the ball and when he managed to find some space, he was very wasteful
Miccoli: 6.0- The pint-sized playmaker looked like a real threat in the first 20 minutes but then went missing for the rest of the match.
SUBS: Budan (55”) 6.0, Lanzafame (63”) 6.0, Ciaramitaro (78”) 6.0
INTER MILAN
Julio Cesar: 6.5- He was tested early in the first half and made a couple of key stops to keep the match scoreless at the time but was reduced to pedestrian-like status in the last 45 minutes.
Maxwell: 7.0- Doesn’t get the credit he so often deserves as he flies below the radar but does his job effectively with minimal fuss.
Cordoba: 6.5- Kept a close eye on Miccoli all evening long but will be disappointed in the yellow card he picked up that will keep him out of the Juventus clash next week.
Samuel: 7.0- Was calm and composed at the back and lived up to his nickname of 'the wall.'
Maicon: 7.0- Drove forward at will and showed why he is rated as one of the best right-backs in world football.
Muntari: 6.0- Did the dirty work in the midfield trenches before he was substituted in the second half.
Cambiasso: 7.0- Another steady performance from the rock of the Inter midfield as he did a great job of protecting the back-four tonight.
Zanetti: 6.0- The ageless captain continues to roll back the years with one consistent performance after another
Viera: 6.5- The Frenchman stood his ground tonight and earned his pay-cheque with a workmanlike performance.
Cruz: 7.0- 'El Jardinero' turned it on after a quiet first half and was unlucky not to have found the back of the net.
Ibrahimovic: 8.5- Scored another wondergoal with a highlight reel effort that swerved past Fontana to open up the second half and followed that up with a brilliant free kick fourteen minutes later.
SUBS: Stankovic (64”) 6.5, Mancini (65”) 6.5, Burdisso (86”) NA
