Since the arrival of Brazilian Julio Cesar, who has been in great form over the past few season, Francesco Toldo has constantly found himself warming the Inter bench.
Today, the former Fiorentina goalkeeper turned 37 and spoke to Sky Sports 24 about the current state of his career.
"To play for Inter still has many simuli - like the fight for the Scudetto and the Champions League," he explained. "I still have a great desire to play, we will see what happens with my contract negotiations in June, but in Italy I would only play for Inter."
Recently several Italians have tried their luck outside the peninsula like Fabio Grosso at Lyon and Luca Toni and Bayern Munich and Toldo admitted he could be tempted to do the same.
"I would move abroad willingly. We will see if there are any teams who want me," he joked.
Finally, Toldo spoke about the Golden Ball, which was awarded to Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday: "I'd be happy if (Inter striker Zlatan) Ibrahimovic won it at some point, but the prize is heavily linked with the Champions League, we hope that Zlatan wins both next year!"
Toldo has not seen much action this season, but kept a clean-sheet on Champions League matchday 3 against Anorthosis when Inter were 1-0 victors.
