GERMANY DOES NOT WANT TO BE PATIENT IN ACTION in World Cup
Johannesburg - Kick-off 2010 World Cup is in sight. German Panzer team apparently can hardly wait for their opening Group D match against Australia on Sunday (06/13/2010).
Thus the recognition of defender Per Mertesacker to the official website of FIFA, Wednesday (06/09/2010). According to the retainer Werder Bremen foster children Joachim Low seems quite tired after ending June 3 warm-up matches and then, when eliminating Bosnia-Herzegovina, 3-1.
"Some of the next training session will be very important to prepare a counter action in Australia. We really want quick action after a long wait," he said.
"We concentrate on the group's first action, because we know many things can happen in the preliminary round, especially in the early phase," continued Mertesacker.
"We have to earn points as much and as quickly as possible. I do not want to be negative, but would be very bad if we start the tournament with defeat in the opening match against Australia."
Asked about the biggest threat in the camps Socceroos Der Panzer, Mertesacker without hesitation pointed to midfielder Tim Cahill.
"Cahill has a lot of experience and has spent time in England. He's one of the most dangerous players are Australian owned and he will be their midfield maestro," explained the 25-year defender.
