Fabio Capello's men have risen to seventh place in the list despite a disappointing South Africa 2010 campaign
Although the Three Lions fell to their worst ever World Cup rankings with a 13th place finish they have moved a place up in the overall Fifa world rankings.
Capello's side were knocked out in the Round of 16, suffering their heaviest ever defeat at a finals after being humiliated 4-1 by Germany.
England also struggled through the group stages, finishing as runners-up to the United States whilst only scoring two goals
South Africa 2010 winners Spain top the rankings ahead of the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Uruguay.
Former world champions Italy dropped six places to 11th, while New Zealand, who were the only side to go unbeaten in South Africa, have climbed 24 places to 54th.
