Germany complete selection
Injuries did most of the hard work for him, but Germany boss Joachim Loew now knows his final 23-man squad
The 50-year old coach has was left with just one decision to make, after already losing a host of players from his provisional 27-strong group.
captain Michael Ballack was ruled out during this years's FA Cup final, following a late tackle from Portsmouth's Kevin-Prince Boateng, whose brother Jerome is included in the Germany squad.
An injury to Christian Traesh, and a broken foot for Heiko Westermann later whittled down the squad even further, with goalkeeper Rene Adler and midfielder Simon Rolfes already sidelined.
In the end, Loew opted to omit full-back Andreas Beck and has placed the 23-year old on stand-by in case of further injury problems in South Africa.
