Kwak blow for Republic

Korea Republic's preparations for SA2010 have been hit by injury after defender Kwak Tae-Hwi was ruled out

The 28-year old has been a key part of coach Huh Jung-Moo's back-line, scoring 5 goals in his 12 appearances for his country.

However, the Asian team will now have to make do without his services in South Africa, after Kwak twisted his knee ligaments during his side's 1-0 weekend defeat to Belarus.

Korea Republic boss Huh is expected to draft in either Kang Min-Soo or Hwang Jae-Won as a replacement, with his side's final warm-up game against Spain scheduled for June 3.

Korea Republic will then face Greece, Argentina and Nigeria in Group B.

Mexico back with a win

After friendly defeats against the Netherlands and England, Mexico bounced back with a 5-1 thrashing of Gambia

Manchester United-bound Javier Hernandez underlined his class with a double, a feat matched by Adolfo Bautista.

The Central Americans, who drew a decent crowd to Bayreuth, Germany, went in at half time 1-0 up thanks to a Hernandez opener.

Hernandez doubled the lead after the break before Bautista added his first.

Although Gambia responded through Ebrima Bohna, another from Bautista and a goal from Alberto Medina gave Mexico a resounding victory.

El Tri will play France, South Africa and Uruguay in Group A at the World Cup in South Africa and striker Carlos Vela is already anticipating his country's role in the opening day spotlight.

"It's fantastic because the whole world will be watching the game [against South Africa on June 11]", Vela told Fifa's official website.

"It's a great opportunity for us to play well and win the first game of the World Cup and we are working hard to do that.

"I have a good feeling about the World Cup because the team is very good with a combination of young and experienced players. And our mentality is strong.

"I think Mexico can have a very good tournament and maybe win five or six games."

Ghana include uncapped Boateng

Coach Milovan Rajevac has given the 23-year old German-born midfielder the nod ahead of Haminu Draman and Udinese's Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.

Boateng qualifies for selection via his dual citizenship status and has yet to be capped by his adopted country, but expects to start when the Black Stars face Holland in a warm-up game on June 1.

The feisty central midfielder has also been in the headlines following his late challenge on Chelsea's Michael Ballack, which ruled the Germany captain out of this summer's showpiece finals.

Stephen Adams, Eric Addo, Bernard Kumordzi and Hearts striker Laryea Kingston were also trimmed from Rajevac's provisional list

Mexico announce final squad

The 51-year old has named his final SA2010 squad ahead of FIFA's June 1 deadline, and opted for the experience of Giovani dos Santos over his younger brother Jonathan.

Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos was given a full 90 minutes to impress in Mexico's recent 5-1 friendly rout against Gambia, but failed to make the final cut alongside defenders Juan Carlos Valenzuela and Adrian Aldrete.

Arsenal's Carlos Vela and West Ham United striker Guillermo Franco were amongst those who kept their places, with veteran forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Manchester United acquisition Javier Hernandez also booking their place in the squad.

Pirlo: We're starting from scratch

During Italy’s triumphant campaign at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, Andrea Pirlo earned the FIFA Technical Study Group’s vote as the best player in the team’s opener against Ghana, the semi-final against Germany and the Final against France. As a result of these accolades the AC Milan midfielder picked up the tournament’s adidas Bronze Ball award, behind France’s Zinedine Zidane and Azzurri team-mate Fabio Cannavaro. Four years on and just weeks before the start of South Africa 2010, FIFA.com sat down for an exclusive interview with the 31-year-old playmaker, to find out how it feels to be a reigning champion preparing to defend the most sought-after trophy in world football.

FIFA.com: Andrea, four years ago your eldest son was very young but perhaps now he is ready to experience his first World Cup as a fan. What are the expectations for this great event as seen through the eyes of a child?
Andrea Pirlo: Niccolo will be seven years old in a few days and for now he is avidly following the Italian championship and the UEFA Champions League. He doesn’t yet fully understand the concept of the FIFA World Cup and the importance of this event, but I’m certain that between June and July he will discover the magic of this tournament and will fall in love with it forever.

What are your own memories of the FIFA World Cup as a child?
I can only remember vague flashes of Mexico 1986, when the La Nazionale were knocked out quite early on, whereas I can vividly recall the magical moments of Italia ‘90. It was a tremendous atmosphere and I fondly remember the summer afternoons and evenings that I spent watching the matches. It was a very carefree experience and I was eager to celebrate just like everyone else my age, but unfortunately Italy didn’t manage to reach the Final and it was Germany that won.

Sixteen years after that bitter disappointment, the children and teenagers of that era – a generation born between 1970 (second-choice goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi) and 1983 (midfielder Daniele De Rossi) – made amends in the most spectacular fashion, winning the title on German soil of all places, after having overcome the hosts in the semi-final.
It’s an emotion I will never forget for the rest of my life, because I think there’s nothing better than winning in the last minute of extra time in a stadium packed with passionate German supporters. Another key moment on the road to victory in Berlin was the penalty that Totti scored against Australia in the Round of 16, which also came right at the end of the game. We had been playing with ten men and winning like that made us realise that the signs were promising. In Germany there was a fantastic atmosphere, even outside the stadiums. I hope this year will be no different!

What do you expect from the first edition to be played on the African continent?
I only got to know South Africa last year during the Confederations Cup and it’s a country which fascinates me. I hope that this World Cup will be a driving force and also that it draws large crowds. It might be a good thing to be playing in winter, because it won’t be very hot. As for the altitude problem we’ll try to overcome it with specific training in Sestriere, at high elevation. We’ll have to get ourselves in top condition in terms of our respiratory fitness. The trajectories change a bit because the speed of the ball increases and above all because it tends to lose height. I’ll have to train to get confident playing in those conditions, particularly with regard to set pieces

Klose must work hard

Germany coach Joachim Low admits out-of-sorts striker Miroslav Klose will find it tough to turn his form around in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

The 31-year-old, who has scored 48 times in 95 games for his country, struggled for games and goals with Bayern Munich last season. And he looked a shadow of the player who finished top scorer at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Saturday night's friendly win over Hungary in Budapest
"It is clear that it will be no easy task to get Miro in form," Low said in the Bild newspaper. "It will be hard work, for him, for us. He has to work a lot. He still hasn't shown the form that he is actually capable of. For Miro it is now about becoming more certain in training."

Low, though, offered words of encouragement for Klose, who has scored five goals in each of the last two FIFA World Cups. "People have often written Miro off before," he added. "But when it comes to it, he is there."

Klose's last international goal came in the 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying win away to Russia last October.

Heskey cannot possibly be allowed to South Africa! Can he?

So, after the Japan - England game, I STILL haven't learned why Fabio Capello thinks that Emile Heskey is worthy to go to South Africa, or even to play up front with Rooney.

Yes, he was only on the field for about 10 minutes, but he had a glorious free header from a few yards out that any goal scoring striker would have scored. I have no doubts that if it was Michael Owen there instead of Heskey, then it would have been 3-1 to England and a relatively comfortable win in the bag. But no, he didn't score. Heskey didn't score. That is becoming a familiar phrase uttered by many disgruntled England fans. Me included.

The ITV commentator informed us that Heskey hasn't score for England for almost a year, and hasn't scored at all for anyone since February. This is a striker we are talking about. People can say how Rooney loves playing with him, and Rooney plays best with him, but I don't understand that either. Rooney seems to play pretty well anyway (understatement) but with Crouch there he doesn't do too badly either. At least Crouch scores!

A few months ago, when England were building up to the World Cup and had a few friendlies, Michael Owen was fit and able to be selected for England. Capello may not like him, but he was there and could have been tested, as an experiment. He has scored 49 goals for his country. He was proving at Manchester United at the time that he could still score vital goals at vital times. But no. Capello chose Heskey instead. Did he score? Figure it out.

I feel that no matter what happens, Capello will unfortunately bring Heskey to South Africa and play him with Rooney. For what reason? I don't know. Defoe, Crouch, Bent - all scored for fun for their clubs this season. All proved that thy can score goals - simple or difficult chances - they proved that they can take them. Heskey didn't.

However, the truth is, if Capello does bring Heskey, we, as England fans will have to support the decision, and support Heskey. The players need the country behind them. They need everyone and everything behind them, especially if they want to see the World Cup in front of them by the end of the summer.

The Walcott Plus Beckham Formula

I really think that Walcott can be a world class winger. At the moment, like I said in my previous post, Walcott runs faster than he can think. He gets into great positions behind the defenders, but he has no idea of what to do from there, and is often wasteful. However, if Beckham, who won't be playing, can influence Walcott with his skill and experience, a lot of goals will be coming from the right-wing in the World Cup.

Beckham has been and is still one of, if not the best crossers of the ball. He knows where to drop the ball in the penalty area and how to do it. Unfortunately he can't play in the World Cup for England, much to the disappointment, I am sure of the England strikers, who wait for the perfect crosses.
However, he can have a lasting influence. Walcott needs to know what to do and how to do it. Beckham can teach him.

U.S. Ready to Make a Surprise Defeat England

Sixty years after the U.S. makes a surprise defeat in the World Cup when England, Uncle Sam's team is back trying to repeat the same success in their opening match in World Cup 2010 South Africa.
Since the draw placed them in Group C along with Slovenia and Algeria, the U.S. and UK had to square off against each other at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg capacity of 42 000 on June 12 next.
From the historical meeting of two countries, England is still winning with a 7-2 record. Their first defeat occurred in 1950 Brazil World Cup on June 29 in Belo Horizonte with a score of 0-1.
Joe Gaetjens, everyday player who worked as a dishwasher part-time, with mothers and fathers of Haiti, Belgium, the U.S. scoring single in the 37th minute.
The U.S. victory flip reverse the prediction because the British people when it was over seeded, but for the U.S. itself, victory was not much effect on the popularity of their football.
"Belo Horizonte, every U.S. soccer fans know exactly what happened there. So we will try to repeat the same thing," said Bob Bradley, U.S. coach commenting on the meeting with England in South Africa.
Currently, the U.S. soccer supporters still recall the incident as "Miracle on Grass Field", to align with the ice hockey team victory over the Soviet Union at the Moscow Olympics in 1980 who was dubbed "The Miracle Above the Ice".
The game became inspiration filming of "The Games Of Their Lives."
"Our team has the talent like England? Probably not. But we feel that we are confident that one day we got a chance to beat them," said Landon Donovan, manager of U.S. attacks.
U.S. players are really hoping to be able to bring back the spirit of their predecessors of the past, to the extent they use costumes such as the U.S. team uniform at the 1950 World Cup, which is complete with a gray sash across the front.
"I think this is something special because we will have a style uniform with a sash and says a lot for the team," said Bradley.
"I think victory in 1950 was still fresh in memory and be proud of. So ironically enough also because we will open the World Cup in 2010 dealing with the British," he said.
Walter Bahr, who captained the U.S. team at the 1950 World Cup was, stating his belief that England are still considering their defeat.
"England was wearing a blue uniform when the historic defeat of the United States in 1950. Until now, they never again use a blue uniform," said Bahr.
Both UK and U.S. both failed to escape from the group stage at the time, but England then managed to get up to appear as World Cup champion in 1966 when they appeared as the host.
Although the return of international victory over England in 1965, the U.S. and then never again qualify for the World Cup finals until 1990.
Since returning to stage the World Cup, the U.S. has a win-lose record of 3-12, with a 1-9 record when facing teams from Europe. The only victory was when they beat Portugal 3-2 in their first match in World Cup 2002.
Another victory occurred in the United States for England friendly match with the score 2-0 in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
At their last meeting in 2008 at Wembley Stadium, England won 2-0.

"For anyone, this is a new experience in practice to adjust to high altitude," the coach said that she arrived at the Tambo Airport in Johannesburg.

Torres back in training with Spain

The Liverpool hitman's return is welcome news for Vicente del Bosque's team, who have been drawn against Switzerland, Honduras and Chile in Group H in South Africa.

The 26-year-old underwent knee surgery in April, but seemed to feel no pain in training at Spain's training camp north of Madrid.

AREMA:KANDIDAT JUARA LIGA SUPER INDONESIA

Arema Malang memastikan gelar juara Indonesia Super League (ISL) 2009/2010 usai menahan tuan rumah PSPS Pekanbaru, Rabu (26/5/2010) sore.

Pasukan Singo Edan -julukan Arema- sukses menahan PSPS 1-1.

Robby Puji Penampilan Persiba

BANDUNG - Pelatih Persib Maung Bandung Robby Darwis memuji penampilan pemain Persiba Balikpapan.

Persib Maung Bandung kehilangan taringnya.

England need to step it up.

A 3-1 win over the Mexicans was ever so slightly flattering. They had more shots, on and off target, they had the more possession, and overall played better football than us. One of our goals, scored by Crouch was not only offside but hand ball - lets not use all of our luck up before the World Cup, its not as if we have much to begin with!

We didn't learn much from the game. We knew, for example that Theo Walcott runs way faster than he can think. We knew that Joe Hart is a safe bet, and England's best bet in the goal. We knew that Glen Johnson can go forward to great effect. But we did learn that England play better when they press the ball higher up the pitch. It wasn't very comfortable watching us penned back in our own box by the Mexicans, and no doubt that if their quality was higher, we would have been punished more severely.

Capello obviously realised this, as we played much better in the second half, and he apparently told his players to play with more aggression. It worked. But lets hope performances will improve as we go along and into the World Cup.

England's next game is against Japan on Sunday. visit here again to read about it!

Rapat berlangsung sekitar satu jam.

(A-128/A-183) ***

Radius 300 Meter Dilarang Ada Bobotoh

“Jadi jangan sampai terulang lagi insiden pasca melawan Sriwijaya FC beberapa waktu lalu. (acf)

Persib Tanpa Dukungan Bobotoh

absentee Owen feels 'strange'

(GSM) - Manchester United striker Michael Owen says it feels 'strange' not to take part in England's World Cup campaign in South Africa. Owen was ruled out of this summer's tournament after picking up a hamstring injury in March.

Speculation persists that Owen's international career may be over as England manager Fabio Capello has not selected the injury-prone striker since the Three Lions met France in a friendly match in 2008.

"Not being in South Africa will be strange," he said.

"I've been involved in our last five major tournaments and, even if I haven't played internationally for the last year or two, I still feel a part of it, I'm still mates with the lads.

Owen announced that he is interested in taking up a coaching role once his playing days are over.

"I've started doing my coaching badges now so I'm on a rung of the ladder which would indicate I'm half thinking about it," Owen added.

"As you get older you start thinking about how and why managers do things.

"I find it all really, really interesting. That's why I started doing my coaching badges."

Owen has scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for England since first shining with a wonderful goal against Argentina in France's 1998 World Cup.

Corinthians back on top in Brazil

(GSM) - Corinthians are back on top in the Brazilian Serie A following a narrow victory over Fluminense on Sunday.

Botafogo and Palmeiras shared the lead after Saturday's games but Corinthians's win over 'Flu' allowed the Sao Paulo side to reconquer the top spot.

The only goal of the match was scored by Chicao when just 12 minutes had been played.

With just three games played in the Serie A, Corinthians are the only team to have a perfect record.

Avai earned a 2-0 win over Vasco da Gama to surpass Botafogo and Palmeiras on goal difference. Roberto found the target in the 27th minute, and Robson added a second late on.

Beckham won't be part of coaching staff, says Capello

England manager Fabio Capello has ruled out the possibility of David Beckham forming part of his coaching staff for the upcoming World Cup.

The 35-year-old Beckham is unable to feature as a player as he is recovering from an Achilles injury, but some media speculated about a possible inclusion in the coaching staff.

"David Beckham will not be on my coaching staff. Absolutely not," Capello said.

"He will stay with us and he can help us during the World Cup. But there will be no coaching. You have to respect the other coaches."

It is however likely that Beckham will join the squad as an extra mental support, while the winger may also take the opportunity to help England's 2018 World Cup bid.

Atep Tetap Fokus Latihan

Persiba Tolak Main Tengah Malam

Hal ini demi menghindari kalah walk out (WO).

“Kita harap PT Liga mengerti.

More Holloway Genius Please

I can't wait to see Blackpool in the Premier League next season, for two reasons. One because of their amazing bright orange kits, and two because of Ian Holloway's after match interviews. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB9rI7p7vmk, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qffmLmxo-I and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSG1HhCCa4c .

10 years ago, Blackpool were in the bottom league of the football league, and now they are in the Premier League, with a massive £90 million in the bank.
"The gaffer deserves a knighthood" said match-winner Brett Omerod. I'm going to have to agree Brett.
Well done Blackpool!

Robinho keen to extend Santos loan

(GSM) - Manchester City forward Robinho has reiterated his desire to extend his loan stay with Santos next season.

The 26-year-old will now join up with Brazil's World Cup squad but will return for the final against Vitoria after the tournament in South Africa.

"I will return to Brazil after the World Cup and, God willing, I'll stay to play in the Copa Libertadores (in 2011)," the Brazil International told after the 3-1 victory over Gremio.

"This is my will. It's a title that I haven't won. I want so much to play in one more Libertadores, if we qualify.

"If I have to make a request for them (City) to release me, I ask, no problem," Robinho explained.
