Liverpool striker Torres missed the run-in to the Premier League side's domestic and European campaign after undergoing a knee operation, while Arsenal captain Fabregas broke his leg in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash against Barcelona on March 31.
Coach Vicente Del Bosque has announced his 23-man squad which includes injured duo Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas
The pair's inclusion in the Euro 2008 champion's squad should end any speculation regarding their fitness ahead of the World Cup, although Torres is unlikely to be fit for Spain's opening match against Switzerland on June 16.
Barcelona team-mates Victor Valdes and Pedro Rodriguez, who impressed as the Catalan club lifted the La Liga title, have also been included despite never having won a cap for the national side.
Atletico madrid keeper David De Gea, Villarreal stopper Diego Lopez, Osasuna defender Cesar Azpilicueta, Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna, forwards Santi Cazorla of Villarreal, Dani Guiza of Fenerbache and Alvaro Negredo of Sevilla were all unfortunate enough to be dropped from Del Bosque's original preliminary 30-man squad.
