Beckham won't be part of coaching staff, says Capello
England manager Fabio Capello has ruled out the possibility of David Beckham forming part of his coaching staff for the upcoming World Cup.
The 35-year-old Beckham is unable to feature as a player as he is recovering from an Achilles injury, but some media speculated about a possible inclusion in the coaching staff.
"David Beckham will not be on my coaching staff. Absolutely not," Capello said.
"He will stay with us and he can help us during the World Cup. But there will be no coaching. You have to respect the other coaches."
It is however likely that Beckham will join the squad as an extra mental support, while the winger may also take the opportunity to help England's 2018 World Cup bid.
