Sorensen admitted he feared the worst when he sustained the injury but now, having had the elbow assessed, is in a much more positive frame of mind.
"I was devastated (when it happened) and I was crying as I was taken off the pitch because I thought that was it, I really thought my chances of going were gone," he told Stoke City Player. "Obviously though I am feeling a lot better now because it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and I suppose luck was on my side and the omens are looking good for me."
