Drogba targets Golden Boot

Cote d'Ivoire striker Didier Drogba plans to cap off an 'amazing' World Cup by finishing up as the tournament's top goalscorer

The 32-year-old won the Premier League Golden Boot this season, netting 37 goals in all competitions as he helped Chelsea to a league and FA Cup double for the first time in the London club's history.

And now the former Marseille striker hopes to carry his fine goalscoring form into the World Cup by firing the Elephants into the group stages and winning the World Cup Golden Boot in the process.

Drogba told Match of the Day magazine: "If we can get through the group stages, I think we have a very strong chance. It's important that we do well as a nation, but if I can win the World Cup Golden Boot as well, then it would be amazing
