The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) have confirmed the appointment of Austrian Alfred Riedl as their new coach.
Head of the National Team Body (BTN) Iman Arief confirmed that Riedl is set to take charge of both the senior team and the Under 23s.

“We confirm that Alfred Riedl is the new head coach for the Indonesian national team,” Iman told the-afc.com.

“He will arrive in Jakarta this week and the training camp will start as soon as he arrives.”

Riedl takes over from previous coach Benny Dollo and is said to have signed a three-year deal.

The 60-year-old former Austrian international has previously coached Vietnam, Palestine, Liechtenstein and Austria, while enjoying stints in club football in Egypt with Al-Zamalek and in Kuwait with Al Salmiya.
