Mexico edge Senegal in friendly

Both sides struggled to create any clear chances in the first half, Manchester United-bound Javier Hernandez seeing his tame shot saved by Senegal goalkeeper Cheikh N'Diaye.

It was no surprise that Mexico coach Aguirre quickly made changes in the second period, Medina and Cuauhtemoc Blanco coming on for Pablo Edson Barrera and Adolfo Herrera Bautista after 55 minutes.

And it took just a matter of minutes for the changes to pay dividends as Medina raced onto a through ball and got the better of N'Diaye before finding the net.

Medina and Hernandez missed further chances to make the win the more comprehensive but Senegal offered little by way of an attacking threat.
